skin infection develops following a bite,perticularly if scratch a lot which can demage ,the skin and allow germ to get in

infection cause redness,tenderness around the bite and local skin reaction may occur

if systemic reaction occur

-administration antihistamine tablets

use cold compression ease to pain and to help reduce swelling -ice packs

pain killer for burning and pain

short course of steroids

if no systemic reaction occur

-apply cold compression

-apply crotamitone ointment

steroid ointment can apply if required
