EOB is a statement from your health insurance plan describing what costs it will cover for medical care or products you have received.EOB contains patient details,the medical services you received and from who, cost of those services, discounts,amount paid by your insurance plan,amount not covered,amount paid from spending accounts,any outstanding amount you are responsible for paying, glossary big terms and definitions included in EOB.This may include details about filing an appeal in your state of residence.Thus EOB contains some confidential matter and it should not be accessible to others rather than patient .
