Stroke can be Ischemic stroke (part of brain loss blood flow ) and hemorrhagic stroke ( bleeding within the brain) . Most of them are Ischemic stroke.

Among CTScan and MRI , CT Scan are the standard test used to diagnose stroke, but MRI Scans are better at detecting stroke. CT Scans are specialised kind of X-Ray taken of brain, while MRI , use magnet and radio waves that show clear image of brain tissue.

-MRI scans are more accurately defected lesion from stroke , the MRI help to get an acute stroke diagnosis and faster Treatment . Even American Academy of Neurology also found that MRI Scan are better than CT Scan in detecting stroke damage.

Thus MRI is better to uses than CT scan for patients with stroke.
