What is your stance on euthanasia? Should physicians play a role?

Euthanasia is the practice of intentionally ending a life to relieve pain and suffering.

Physicians should not have any role to play in assisted suicide.

Physician-assisted suicide is fundamentally incompatible with the physician's role as healer, would be difficult or impossible to control, and would pose serious societal risks...

People will take advantge of this and pose a criminal risk in the name of Euthanasia

Physicians should no do any contribution towards it.

The most fundamental part of a doctor-patient relationship is trust. If doctor-prescribed suicide were legal, patients wouldn't know if the doctor's ultimate motive was to heal them or end their life. The doctor's duty is to kill the pain - not the patient."
