PDSA(Plan Do Study Act):-

CAUTI (catheter-associated urinary tract infection):- it is one of the most common infections occuring in the hospital.
-Indwelling catheters are the cause of this infection.

Implementation of PDSA for CAUTI:-
- 4 components are as follow-
(i) Avoid unnecessary urinary catheters
(ii) Insert urinary catheters using aseptic technique
(iii) Maintain urinary catheters based on recommended guidelines
(iv) Review urinary catheter necessity daily and remove promptly.
