The svoringbscale for Activities of Daily living can be done when the patient are in early stage of dementia or in a state where there cognitive functions can be recovered to an extent.It relies in the most basic needs or activities done in a day so can be scored without any much difficulty. The instrumental activities of daily living requires a scoring scale to determine the cognitive abilities of an individual when they are in later stage when cogdecreases .So scoring them can be difficult. Hence it is hard to do scoring scale on IADL.
