PTSD is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which can be defined as a disorder which can occur after witnessing or experiencing life altering or life threatening event such as war, natural disasters , sexual assault etc.

According to researchers from the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs women in the military are at an equal level of risk as their male counter parts for PTSD. The percentage of risk according to this research is 6.7% women and 6.1% men at a risk for PTSD. This accordimgato the research isnt a significant difference.
