Correlation study and how they relate to descriptive statistics
Corrrelational study is a method of nonexperimental research in which the researcher measures two variables and assess the statistical relationship between them with little or no effort to control extraneous variables .
For instance consider hypothecally a researcher is studing a correlation between cancer and marriage. In this study there are two variables such as cancer and marriage.Let us say marriage has a negative correlation with cancer .This means taht people who are married are less likely to develop cancer.
Descriptive statstics are very important because if we simply presented our raw data it would be hard to visulize what data was showing. The correlation is stastically significant.
