Answer: A simple oxygen face mask is a made of plastic which is for providing the oxygen to the patients in the case of having breathing problems, chest pain or minor hemorrhage. The major concern of this mask is that it should be applied to the patients who can breathe themselves. Because in the requirements of higher concentration such as 21% oxygen, then patients are kept in ventilators.

The rate of flow of oxygen through the mask should be 6 to 10 liters per minute whereas, the oxygen percentage can vary from 40% to the 60%.The exhaled carbon dioxide passes through the small holes present in the mask. The mask is attached with the tube to the small reservoir tank and the meter of the oxygen.
