Standard bacteriologica methods were usedfor bacterial isolation and antimicrobial susceptibility patten.Isolated bacteria usually shows multi drug resistance to the commonly used antibiotics in the hospital.There is higher rate in the incidence of post-operative wound infection rates.Post-operative wound infections is always a major problem in the field of surgery which leads to many complications and often hospital acquired.The virulency and invasive capability of organisms have raised the chances of risk of infection.Age of the patient is not a determining factor in bacteria isolation.Periodic surveillance of bacteria and antibiotic susceptibility is important to prevent further emergence and spread of resistant bacteria pathogens.
