NDC is national drug code that is used for unique product identifier used in US for drug intended for human use.

It is a unique 10 digit number having 3 different segments.

First segment is lebeler code that is 4 to 5 digits long and assigned by FDA

Second segment is product code that is 3 to 4 digit long and identifies specific strengths and dosage form and formulation of particular firm.

Third segment is package code that is 1 to 2 digits long and identifies package forms and sizes.
