Poor socio economic and employement levels have a major link to financial hardship ,poverty,debt,homelessness ,family breakdown,social islation and crime.The rich cultural practices ,knowledge system and cultural expressions of Aborginal and Torres strait people Islanders people are a source of great strength,resilance and pride.

Indegenous austrailians suffer disproportionally high levels of domestic violence and over representaion in the justice system.Thses people experince extreme levels of racicm in Australia.Aborginal and Tores strait Islander women have been the victims of extraordinary high levels of sexism,domestic violence ,marginalization ,work place lateral violence and racism.
