B. The lungs is one body part which grows until the baby is born. For a complete formation of lungs and it's structure it takes about 37 weeks.Babies usually born before this lacks the adequate number of surfactant needed for respiration without getting collapsed.

In fetus the blood flow between lungs and the heart exchange is done by the placenta

The umbilical cord has two arteries which carry the deoxygenated blood and one umbilical vein carrying oxygenated blood .Here the impure blood is taken and exchange happens finally taking in the oxygenated blood to fetus by the umbilical vein .

The placenta is the chief organ with important function

Estrogen :for synthesis of milk

Human placental lactogen :for lactation during breast feeding

Progesterone :guards the uterus

Prolactin:for lactation

HCG hormone levels for generally making a confirmation test
