-A baby’s lungs are typically considered mature by week 36.
- preterm babies have breathing problems due to an immature respiratory system.
- premature baby lack lung surfactant (a substance that allows the lungs to expand).

      Respiratory distress syndrome
      Pneumoia
      Apnea
      Pneumothorax
