Question

Compare and contrast (in 100 words or less) aerobic versus anaerobic cellular respiration.

Compare and contrast (in 100 words or less) aerobic versus anaerobic cellular respiration.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

AEROBIC RESPIRATION:-
- Requires oxygen
- occurs in mitochondria
- large ATP made (38 ATP)
- Total breakdown of glucose
- End product are carbon dioxide and water

ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION:-
- Don't require oxygen
- occurs in cytoplasm
- small amount of ATP made (2ATP)
- partial breakdown of glucose
- end product- carbon dioxide and ethanol.
