Health program planning is a multistep process.. Models​​​ act as framework on which is to build, provide structure and organization for planning process.. There are different models available. The planning process is a five phase process which include;

1. Social diagnosis

2.epidemiological diagnosis

3.behavioral and environmental diagnosis

4.educational and organizational diagnosis

5.administrative and policy diagnosis.

Then comes the implementation, process evaluation, impact evaluation and outcome evaluation.

APPLICATION OF PLANNING PROCESS

considering a group of people with poor oral hygiene as an example, we evaluate and get in to conclusions.. Poor oral health indicate need for proper education about oral hygiene among common people, oral health programs, dental health camps and dental health education..
