Dextromethorphan Abuse :- Dextromethon (DXM) is a opioid derivate which is use as cough suppressant. Now a days its abuse is rises due to its dissociative anaesthetic action.

It is causes very severe illness even death.

Sign & Symptoms :- The Sign & symptoms of DXM abuse area-

1. Liver failute

2. Tachycardia

3. Seizures

4. Hyperthermia

5. Respiration depression

6. Coma

These effects are occur due to other active ingredients which are present with DXM in combination .

Treatment :- To treat these patients PsychologPsyc therapy is important.
