The main Gastro Intestinal diagnostic procedures includes the endoscopic procedures.Endoscopy Nurses assist doctors with endoscopic procedures.Their primary responsibilities include answering patient questions band addressing their concerns,observing patient vital signs and administering the necessary patient medication.The nurses have to keep the patient informed throughout the duration of the procedure among other duties.She have to give sedation to the patient in between the procedure if necessary.She has to complete all necessary documentation including patient notes ,arrange sterile instruments for the procedure.If the patient is female,a sister nurse should be always with the patient,privacy should be given if needed.
