Gastroesophageal reflux is a digestive disease.It arises when the stomach acid or bile flow's into the food pipe and troubles the lining.ie, the this acid reflux irritate the lining of esophagus.Common symptoms of GERD are chest pain, difficulty in swallowing, heartburn, sensation of lump in throat,cough, asthma and disturbed sleep.Seek immediate medical care if you have chest pain, shortness of breath and take necessary medications for heartburn.

Irritable bowel syndrome IBS is a disorder which affects the large intestine.Most common symptoms of IBS are abdominal pain, bloating,gas, diarrhea or constipation and mucus in the stool.Common symptoms can be controlled by managing diet, lifestyle and stress.Severe symptoms need immediate medications.Seek immediate medications if you're having weight loss, diarrhea, vomiting,rectal bleeding,iron deficiency anemia and difficulty in swallowing.
