How does self efficacy play a role in behavior when it comes to weight lost?

Self efficacy makes a difference in one's life as how they feel, think and act. Self efficacy increases magnitude, generality and strength. By having magnitude one have the ability to try for difficult tasks. By having generality, one have the ability to generalize the situations even in terms of specific situation. By having strength, one have the ability to attain their goals.

Weight management interventions need all these qualities in an individual to successfully lose weight.
