Discuss one of the four basic rules for understanding results in a research study

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The four basic rules for understanding results in a research study include the development of an understanding the purpose of the study, identification of the variables (dependent and independent), identification of how the variables can be measured, and finding the measures of central tendency and the measures of variability for the study of variables” (CCN, 2015). A statistically significant difference means an association or difference exists between the variables that weren't caused solely by normal variation or chance and thus the difference is regarded clinically significant when researchers believe a statistically significant finding is substantial enough to be clinically important and thus should direct the course of patient care (Heavy, 2015).
