Answer: Testosterone is also known as male hormone which is responsible for the development of male characters in the men. The testosterone therapy is provided to the patients suffering from hormonal imbalance and in case of endocrine problems.

Nurse should understand that this hormonal medication should not be given in the case of:

  • Liver disease
  • Allergic to androgens
  • Lactating mothers
  • In the case of cardiovascular disease.

The patient should be educated about this drugs as it may cause side effects such as edema, weight gain, headache, dizziness, fatigue.
