An exocrine secretion of liver is bile this has to pass via a biliary duct to intestine.This produces cholesterol,bile salts,bilirubin.This helps on digestion of fays.If there is a blockage in the duct the fats are not broken down and excreted via feces in a bulky quantity oily and foul smelling called as steatorrhea.
Normally bile salts are released into stool which is brown in color but due to obstruction this doesn't happen and the stool turns clay colored.
Due to blockage there is accumulation of conjugated bilirubin in the blood which is excreted via urine which makes urine dark colored.
Meanwhile due to blockage bile levels are increased in liver causing jaundice .
The pain usually occurs because of blockage when the fatty foods are taken already fats ate not broken and making situation worse with pain.
