Answer:- females are choosy because-

1. Males produce way more sperm than is necessary to fertilize all females, so there is greater emphasis on development of courtship and territoriality.
2. The female is limited by the energy invested in egg production and caring for hte young (i.e. milk), whereas in the male sperm production .doesn't limit fertility, but instead the number of matings does.
3. There is a greater variation in the amount of success a male has than a female has in reproduction.
4. A female isn't "eager to mate.
