What is your differential diagnosis regarding this patient?
Patient information: 50-year-old man, with substernal chest pain. He was partying when he felt a pain across his chest that is also radiating to his neck. Pain is slowly improving due to receiving Percocet from his friend. He states that he has had nausea, vomited three times, palpitations, and a headache that is worsening. He is currently taking hypertension medication and medications for erectile dysfunction. Patient has occasional drug use with cocaine and history of methamphetamine use. He drinks 3-4 glasses of whiskey daily to sleep.
Age -50 years
Past history- Alcoholic,
On treatment for hypertension and erectile dysfunction
Signs and symptoms- Chest pain that is substernal andcradiating to neck,nausea ,vomitting,headache,and palpitations
He had taken Tablet Percoset at the begining of this pain episode.
Byvreding the signs and symptoms it can be myocardial infraction.The symptoms are same as these.By taking percoset the intensity of improving pain is gradual because it is helpful for pain releving .
Pecoset- It is comination of Oxicodone /Acetaminophen,is an opioid used to treat short term pains.
