Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer: The advantages of having government involved in providing and/or paying for health care are:

  • Most people can be covered in the healthcare insurance.
  • The healthcare facilities could be available for all.
  • It will reduce the cost of healthcare.
  • Providing healthcare to all the citizens could increase the economy production.

The disadvantages are:

  • Government may increase the tax, this will have adverse impact on the population.
  • The debts may increase.
  • Shortage of the healthcare professionals may arise.

The federal as well as state government both indulge in the healthcare system. But at the level of federal government, it would be better as it will have normal and equal impact on whole country. The rules and regulations would be same for all the states.
