What immediate interventions would you carty out for J.B?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

As a responsible nurse the first thing that I will do is to make sure that I have a created an appropriate and safer environment with necessary precautions for J.B so that he can not harm himself by any mean. I will not entertain any subject or object that trigger such thoughts in him. I will try to spend more time with him, talk to him and try to develop a therapeutic relationship. In these conditions, usually patients don't take care of their appetite and fluid needs. So I will make sure that he is taking proper meals with adequate nutritions on time. I will try to get him out of his lethargic state and encourage him to do different activities that would help him with his state.
