How does hospice and palliative care differ from the traditional medical model of health care delivery? What are the benefits to patients who elect these services in lieu of traditional medical care?

In traditional medical model, physician is responsible for treating the patient.It is mainly illness based.Based on the symptoms, physician diagnose the patient and do the investigations.

Palliative care begins at diagnosis and treatment begins at the same time.

Hospice care begins after treatment of the disease is stopped.

Both palliative and hospice care gives important to comfort and quality of life by reducing pain and other symptoms whereas traditional model of health care start based on symptoms and physician treat the patient.

B) In palliative and hospice care, patients get care in physical problems , emotional,social and coping problems,practical problems such as insurance and legal issues, spiritual issues.
