Answer #1

The various roles of the nurse and the ways in which these roles facilitate change as nurses must be leaders in the design, implementing, and evaluating, as well as advocating for, the ongoing reforms to the system that will be needed. Additionally, nurses need leadership skills and competencies for acting as full partners with physicians and other health professionals in redesigning and reforming the efforts across the health care system. Thus the various roles of the nurse and the ways in which these roles facilitate change include the most important change in the approach of healthcare to prevention. Communication and counseling the target population about this change in approach, using media to generate awareness and active lobbying for the same. In the case of patients, the use of evidence-based practice is also a way of facilitating the change.
