This act was passed to ensure the residents of long term care are getting safe, consistent, high quality resident centered care.

The plan of care should be well written, all spects of the care should be covered, the goals should be intended to achieve, clear directions should be given to the staff.

Integration of care, proper communication and consent should also be taken.

Medication management, assistance with the activities of daily living, personalized care plans for the specific needs, rehabilitational therapies physical, occupational and speech therapies are the services offered.

The main projections of the long term care are in the areas of the infrastructure, financing, resources, work force, regulation and information technology. In medical imaging, molecular technology and distant care new evidence based practices and technologies will be available in future.
