b. When using centrifuge the concept of balance is very important because any irregularities may cause irregularity in the system. To balance, put samples, as they are directly across to each other. If only one tube balance with one blank tube with water. If 3 tubes put them in 1-7-13 and so on.
c. Whole blood is obtained in a tube with anticoagulant and not required to be centrifuged. In that case the tube is mixed thoroughly. Specimens for HIV testing do not require centrifugation. In pathology department no centrifugation required.
