The following nursing actions has to be taken when administering systemic antifungal

  • Monitor vital signs because patient may have rise of temperature (fever)
  • Provide adequate fluid because fluid loss may happen due to vomitting and diarrhoea
  • Provide adequate nutritional food easily digestible
  • Assess for any epigastric pain
  • Provide comfortable environment
  • Family education
  • Monitor serum creatinine,BUN and LFT
  • Keep a track on ALT,AST, Bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase because the drug will increase these level
  • Assess for allergic reaction
