The medical center where you are the revenue cycle manager has a union that has primarily focused on the nurses; however, recently the union has been reaching out to non-clinical staff and there is rumor that the coding staff are being solicited by the union to join. The CFO at the facility, who is also your boss, calls you and asks that you reach out to some of the staff “as a friend” to see what they think about joining the union and try to persuade them not to join the union. He asks that you do this and report back to him next week. Your annual evaluation is also next week and you are not sure what to expect. Are there any ethical dilemmas in this situation?
Yes there is ethical dilemma in this situation because their is difficult to choose what to done is there to follow the boss order or to work on annual evaluation which is on next week . But if i didnot follow the boss order he will becomes unhappy and if follow boss order then i didnot get enough time for my work and annual evaluation is going to happen next week these both situation are ethical dilemmas there is difficult to make choice what to choose.I think in this situation annual evaluation is more important for me instead of persuading them not to join the union and also their is a posssibility that they didnot agree to come in union . So in this case i will say my boss that i have lot of works in this week because my annual evaluation is going to happen next so my request you to please give this work to another guy who has not more works in this week. This can be better for me
