Amphetamines are potent CNS stimulants and are associated with addiction. However, they have been used as an aid in weight loss (prescribed by a physician).

1. How are these drugs help with weight loss, and what are your thoughts on this topic?

Amphetamine works in the brain to reduce appetite and increases stamina. Amphetamine is one of the anti -obesity drugs that doctors do prescribed to patient. The drugs are strong in activating the sympathetic nervous system,the pheripheral part of the nervous system which is known to accelerate the heart rate, shrink blood vessels and raise blood pressure. B) My thought concerning this is: if a person abuse the intake of amphetamine for weight loss, they might build a tolerance to the drugs which may result in addiction. And addiction will have a negative effect on the body such as insomnia , decreased appetite. Moreover,this drugs is very dangerous other side effects includes heart rate,hypertension.
