Answer #1

The importance of trust in a nurse-patient counseling relationship can be felt in this profession as nurses like all other healthcare professionals have a moral obligation to build trust with patients by representing their profession in a trustworthy manner. Since trust is a fragile concept; once interpersonal trust is lost, it can be difficult to rebuild and without trust, the patient is not going to pay any attention to the advice. The entire therapeutic relationship is based on trust.
