The military has learnt to use narcotics for pain management in the following way

  • Scoring the pain
  • Pre hospital analgesics( trained to administer an IM injections on thigh ,morphine )
  • Pre hospital transfer
  • Field hospital

The integrative medicine are now a days taught in the military .It includes diet, exercise, relaxation, vitamin and dietary supplements.It is also called as complimentary and alternative medicine

The knowledge can be applied to civilian health care to overcome post traumatic stress syndrome after a war loosing there limbs .It acts as a best supportive treatment than the conventional method of treatment .
