Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS) are chronic progressive inflammatory diseases, leading to joint damage and reducing the physical fitness of patients. They are among the most common rheumatic diseases. However, their etiology and symptomatology are different.Rheumatoid Arthritis. In Greek, ankylos means stiffening of a joint, means vertebra, and itis means inflammation. Ankylosing spondylitis is a form of inflammatory arthritis that primarily affects the spine, but it can affect other joints too.

Both of these conditions affect the bone and the hounts
