There are five-main points that the law requires.
They are:
1. A primary-care physician and a discussing with physician must both agree that the patient have 6-months or less to live.
2. The patient must create two oral requests (at least forty-eight hour apart) for drugs to use to terminate his or her life.
3. The patient must remain at least fifteen days subsequent to the preliminary oral request, and then make a written demand to the physician.
4. If either physician considers the patient has a mental disorder or is suffering from impaired judgment from despair, they must advise the patient for counseling.
