A well-designed radiology information system helps the employees to eliminate the redundancies found in the registration process of new patients.It helps to provide patient management. that means it helps to keep the records and workflow of patients. It also helps in the scheduling of inpatients and outpatients. Better communication is possible to the doctors as well as staff to communicate with doctors outside. It is cost-efficient and improves efficiency. Finally, it has no billing errors. These are tangible benefits.

Intangible benefits; enhanced patient safety, enhanced quality care, better provider-patient relationship, improved medical billing and medical coding and better understanding of medical afflictions.
