A community needs assessment identifies the strength and resources available in the community to meet the needs of children, youth and family.

In those days community needs are adolescents pregnancy, crime, domestic violence, drug use and HIV /AIDS.

COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL NEEDS :

1.Direct assessment :

A direct need assessment is including through formal research that gather data from client.

2.Indirect assessment :

It is conducted at any time when a advisory committee is meeting and does not require the same level of investment in the design, implementation and analysis.

STEPS OF ASSESSMENT :

1. Write objectives - what is that you learn from the needs assessment.

2. Select audience - who is the target audience.

3. Collect data

4. Select the audience sample

5. Pick an instrument - what instruments and technique will you use collect data.

6. Analyse data
