It is because of history collection is important in appropriate care. The child interview help in identifying the problems or to get subjective data. Subjective data is the patient's own experience about the present condition and it can be explainded only by the child itself. But as he is a child aging 7 years only the appropriate history about the child's past condition can be get from tha parents. Because of child cannot have proper knowledge about his previous medical conditions .

While interviewing after a surgical procedure nurse should provide appropriate details about the patient condition to the parents and family members. Be honest and if any doubt in patient current condition donnot made interuptions. Have adequate knowledge to identifying the emotional status of parents as well as patient.
