Health care practices though has reached the most advanced state now still relays on these types of CAM practice to make patient comfortable.

When this is used along with conventional medicine it is called complimentary medicine and when used in place of conventional medicine it is called as Alternative medicine.

It is used on the basis of diagnostic and therapeutic disciplines.

Some examples are

  • Accupuncture therapy
  • Homeopath treatment
  • Oriental practices
  • Herbal therapy
  • Dietary modification

Diseases like cancer,COPD,life threatening diseases symptoms can be managed effectively using these medicine therapy.

Hence now a days these CAM is a part of treatment and organised in hospital for easy access.
