Handwashing is an important standard precautions to prevent microrganisms entry and continous handwashing can cause adverse effects to skin.

1)Continous hand washing can cause changes in skin surface like dryness of the skin,

2)Frequent use of solvents or soaps may damage the skin proteins and increase the sensitivity to irritants aong with it remove the natural oils as result multiple damages to skin occur like itching,cracking and so on,

3)Repetitive hand washing cause allergic dematitis to certain products used in hand hygiene and these dermatitis may cause serious.

4) Multiple hand washing may increase chance to get skin conditions like atopic dermatitis.

5) Continous skin disclosure to water may cause inflammation.
