Explain in detail why is it just as important to deal with the people issues of an IT project as it is to deal with the technical issues?

It just as important to deal with the people issues of an IT project as it is to deal with the technical issues because an IT project like any other project is based on technical knowledge and following standard processes being is one aspect but this is only 30-40% of day-to-day activities. What needs to better manage is the remainder of the 60-70% – which is people centric.. factors emerging from them issues such as; the push-back, resistance to change, acceptance, trust etc. Apart from this any product or service has people who are its end users so they have to be kept in mind in order to be successful.
