Select one:

a. Bowman’s capsule

b. Glomerulus

c. Calyx

d. Renal pyramid

e. Renal pelvis

Answer #1

The tuft of capillaries in the renal corpuscle is called the ;

Answer : ( b ) Glomerulus

Renal corpuscle ,we can also called as the malpighian body . It consist of a tuft of capillaries ( tuft means network ) called the glomerulus .The tuft like is formed by lobules of capillaries

(The other answers are incorrect because it dose not have any tuft or network of capillaries ;

The glomerulus is surrounded by a double walled capsule .and this capsule is called as the bowman's capsule .it doesn't not have any network of capillaries

The calyx are the chambers of kidney or it is like a cavities in which the urine gets collected before it flows into the urinary bladder

Renal pyramids are the kidney tissue .it is a cone shaped structure and it consist of tubules .

Renal pelvis is a tube like structure which act like a funnel for flow of urine to ureter

Anne wrote a paragraph on renal physiology. Her paragraph, in italics, is as follows: Glomerular filtration rate decreases when resistance in the afferent arterioles increases. In healthy individuals, water, solutes, and red blood cells are filtered into Bowman’s capsule. Most of the filtrate volume in Bowman’s capsule is then reabsorbed in descending limb of the loop of Henle. Reabsorption of K+ in the ascending limb of the loop of Henle is controlled by the hormone aldosterone. Once filtrate reaches the...
