Diagnostic indicators are CBC,total iron binding capacity,
serum iron, serum ferritin,and Hb electrophoresis
Macrocytic anemias
Causes are vitamin B12 deficiency and folate deficiency, bone
marrow dysplasia secondary to chronic alcoholism.
Consequences:- macrocytic anemia can cause long term
complications if left untreated. These complication can include
permanent damage to your nervous system.
Diagnostic indicators are CBC,RBC indices, reticulocyte count
and peripheral smear.
