Answer #1

Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to maintain normal pumping function to provide optimal blood throughout the body.

In infants and children, it can be caused by 'circulation failure' where oxygenated and deoxygenated blood mixes inside the heart due to congenital anomalies. Also, when the heart is unable to pump due to the heart muscles are no longer contracts to pump effectively, Harry failure occurs.

signs and symptoms include breathlessness, bluish discolouration of skin, fingernails and lips due to lack of oxygenated blood, fast breathing, poor feeding, poor weight gain, lung infections.
