Discrimination and suicide rates social issue include the gender-based discrimination, transgender-based abuse, and violence. According to researchers approximately 41% of transgender people generally attempt suicide in their lives once due to the discrimination they face in society (William, 2017). I would like to learn more about the reason behind such a high incidence of suicide rate in case of transgender. While the suicide rate is 5% in the general population.
