By the inhibiting if Prostaglandin synthesis it inhibits the inflammatory reactions and reduce the pain. It is safe of gastric mucosal layer as it cause a minimal damage. Like NSAIDS it does not produce Salicylic acid and increase the production of HCL. So, it is safe for gastric ulcer patient.
