• Usually less expensive and more accessible
• Since many are traditional treatment and have withstood the test of time, they are thought to be safer and more effective by some.
• Many are aware of the advesre effects of modern medications because they are more thoroughly studied. They think CAM therapies are devoid of such effects.
• CAM therapies often advertise more.
• They are thought to be 'natural' while modern medications are thought to be synthetic.
